Can anyone interpret this dream?

Last night I had a dream that I was backstage at Reading festival. It was just about time for Müf to go onstage when I realised that we didn't actually know any songs! I was pretty nervous - ok, I was shitting myself - but the rest of the band insisted it'd be ok, we could just improvise some stuff. Then we realised that I didn't have an amp and it would take too long to go and get it from home. Luckily Tim from Ash (who'd just come off stage) said I could borrow his. *phew* So, anyway, if anyone has any idea what that was all about please let me know.

Oh and Müf's first gig is confirmed for the 20th of January at Colorz in Reading. We had a great songwriting rehearsal last night and now reckon we have the basis of a set's worth of material but it's not all 100% finished yet.

Comments:
I've had that dream since I was fourteen.

I'll turn up at a massive gig (Reading Festival is a fairly common one) and I'll get onstage to find an impossible drum kit that's all back to front with everything in the wrong position and no kick pedal. If I don't wake up screaming at that point the dream will progress to me trying to get the drumkit sorted while the audience goes home looking rather bored and indifferent while I try to tell them I'll be just a minute.

*shudder*

It happens in real life sometimes. At our Brixton gig the drumkit I had to use was absolutely terrible. About 30 years old with 20 year old skins. Just before we went on stage the tom arm broke leaving the tom dangling out the front of the drumkit and I had to run round the venue looking for gaffa. As if by some kind of nightmare magic the venue didn't have any gaffa and everyone was completely indifferent to my plight. The sound man managed to wedge the tom in an okay position in the end but I spent the whole gig in a state of mild panic. I half expected to find out I was naked and that all my school teachers were in the audience slow-hand-clapping.

I'm going to have a nightmare tonight.

It's only 'cause we don't have the material finished yet. When we do I'll be fine.
